  • 2024 YMF Election Happy Hour
    Monday, May 20, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM EST
    Cost: $10 for Professionals and Students
    Please join members of the ASCE Philadelphia YMF for our annual YMF Election Happy Hour at the Brauhaus Schmitz Bierhall. Appetizers will be provided!
    Election results will be announced at approximately 6:30 PM and brief remarks will be provided by the outgoing President and President-elect. Must be 21+ to purchase/consume alcohol. Brauhaus Schmitz is a twelve minute walk from the Lombard South Station on the Broad Street Line and accessible via SEPTA Bus Route 47. Street parking is available on South Street. Parking available at Bainbridge between 5th and 4th St or above Whole Foods at 10th and South. The Brauhaus Schmitz Bierhall is ADA accessible

    Introduction to Proposals
    Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM EST
    Cost: FREE for Professionals and Students.
    Please join members of the ASCE Philadelphia YMF at McCormick Taylor. for an introduction to proposals presented by a mix of marketing and engineering professionals. Our presenters will give an overview of project proposals, discuss the role that engineers play in the proposal process, and provide guidance on what skills engineers can develop to improve their/hit the ground running with proposal writing.

    Multi-society Kickball Tournament and Summer Picnic
    Thursday, June 6, 2024 beginning at 4:30 PM (Rain date Thursday, June 13, 2024)
    Cost: FREE for Professionals and Students.
    Join the ASCE YMF, ASHE YMC, YPT and MASITE for a kickball tournament at Fairmount Park, Edgely Fields! Whether you’d like to play for the YMF to defend our title, or just show up for the food and to network, Fairmount Park is the place to be! Lawn games, food, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and refreshments. The winner will be awarded the coveted Traffic Cone Trophy.
    Team Colors: ASCE - Blue, MASITE - Orange, ASHE - Yellow, YPT - Red

    K-12 Outreach Events
    Join us at Philadelphia area schools to share Civil Engineering with students from grades K through 12.

      We will be giving a presentation on Civil Engineering and facilitating a roller coaster activity with the Girls Inc. afterschool program.
    Please reach out to us at ASCEPhilaYMFK12@gmail.com if you are interested in participating! If you are interested in an event outside of Philadelphia, but are not able to arrange transportation, please reach out and we can coordinate a carpool from Center City. No prior K-12 outreach experience is necessary to volunteer. All presentations and supplies are provided!
